On Monday, October 28, 2024, a professional conference and info day titled „Applying Innovative Approaches to Achieve nZEB“ was held at the Creative Industries Incubator – ENTER in Koprivnica. Professional conference was organized by Regional Energy Agency North with the support of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb.
The Mayor of Koprivnica, Misel Jaksic, welcomed the conference attendees, followed by Damir Mandic, Business Development Manager at REA North, who presented the main goals, activities, and results achieved in Croatia by the nZEB Ready project within the Horizon2020 program.
Within the ProcuraMED project, Damir Juricic from Alternativni modeli nabave d.o.o. introduced the topic of Public Procurement of Innovative solutions with case studies, while Manuela Licul Martincic from Indigitamenta presented the theme of Green Public Procurement, discussing it as a tool for environmental protection and a procedure that incorporates environmental criteria in public procurement to enhance efficiency.
One of the prominent conference topics was virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), to this end, Zeljko Brcek and Ivanka Brcek from the Vocational School Djurdjevac presented the ClassVR portal for education, professor Bojan Milovanovic from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb presented the goals and key elements of the DiVirtue project through the theme “Application of VR/AR Technology in Education.” Zeljko Habek from the Association for Lifelong Vocational Education STRUKA showcased several projects aimed at modernizing vocational training through the use of new technologies.
Borna Konjecic introduced the Plastform company and the recEPS project, while in the second part of the conference, thematic sessions were organized at the ENTER and CAMPUS venues, featuring demonstrations of devices for building air permeability testing, a thermographic camera, a welding simulator/virtual training tool, the MUZA exhibition-educational space, alongside the thematic sessions on Public Procurement of Innovative solutions and Green Public Procurement, a knowledge quiz was organized, allowing conference participants to review their knowledge in the areas of nZEB and public procurement, with rewards given for their performance.
